Guest guest
Hi - the name of the book I mentioned in the previous post is Diet & Arthritis by Dr. Gail Darlington, a British Rheumatologist & arthritis researcher. I maybe should point out that my progress was gradual & consisted of cutting certain foods out of my diet, exercising - also a gradual process, just walking further each day, starting off with a few steps & slowing increasing the distance. I took medication for over 5 years & certainly realise that there is no option for some people & is correct to mention the other two thirds of RA patients who need to take medication but sometimes there are severe side effects from drugs and if like me they find some relief from a mainly vegan, low fat & gluten free diet then it is worth a try. I am certainly not cured but the improvement in pain levels has made it worthwhile. I hope this gives hope to some of you inflicted with this terrible disease.
