Depends on the insurance.  Our IPA and Medicare will not pay a PCP for a consult (actually, I don't think MDC pays for any consults any more).

 

Submit as a consult to commercial insurance companies with the surgeon as the referring provider.  Otherwise, we bill a 9921X.
