I just came from seeing Dad. They could hardly get him to eat

anything today. He is sitting in a chair with eyes closed most of

the time with his terrible jerking acting out dreams motions. I

could not get him to open his eyes for me. If I touched him he would

pull away as if in pain and get a bit angry. They said it took 3

caregivers to change him due to his agitation. His neuro called and

wanted orthostatic BP. They couldn't get them. Barely could get the

sitting one due to jerking and it was 80/60. I don't know what to

do, care center and neuro both suggested if it continues he may need

evaluation in hospital. I don't want to push that much because he

gets really agitated when hospitalized. He has brought up death in

the last couple weeks on several occasions. Today I would say " do

you want to go for a ride? Do you want me to take you outside in

your wheelchair. " With eyes closed the answer was always no. I said

to him are you tired of this? He did answer yes. I said do you want

this to be over? His answer is yes. Could he just be giving up and

is not longer able to put forth the effort to cover as he did so

well? His medicatins have not changed at all in several months.

There is really nothing that has changed. The nurse dipped his urine

and nothing unusual. Did not have order for clean catch to send out,

neuro did order one today.

Thanks
