I will be enjoying a delicious dinner with my wife ( Ardiana) now. She will be working tomorrow.

We open our doors, slow at the beginning and we are hoping to put our name on the community.

Thank you for posting the link, Sharon. I find myself doing much less exercise in 2011 since I opened a full time solo practice. Each time I suggest patient to be more physically active, I know I should walk the talk and it will be good for me.

Hope more poeple on the list serv can have a little bit time to exercise in 2012.Happy New year, Everyone!Wen

Great video!!

Posting it to the world ...

But, I'm also happy to say that while I watched it, I stood up, did a variety of

knee lifts, leg squats, calf exercises, hip stretches, hamstring stretches, etc,

while watching it.

Funny enough, one advantage to my upcoming switch from full time primary care to

full time urgent care (30+hr /wk) is that I will be moving, walking and standing

while at work which will be a big help for my fitness and general health. Also,

my office's tray table (whatever it's really called, but the one that has a flat

surface which is about 15 in x 30 in, and can be adjusted for height) is being

taken home with me and will serve as my standing desk in the family room for the

computer in order to give me more time when I am not sitting.

The last few years I've been encouraging patients to think of " physical

activity " more than " exercise. " Then they can go for a workout if they'd like,

but even if not blocking time for gym and exercise I encourage them to " be

active " for at least two minutes an hour so at the end of the day they are still

moving in some way for a half hour ... and, voila ... limiting sitting and

sleeping to 23 1/2 hours ... thus, my wholehearted support for that video.
