My wife and I have gone through the 'can't afford it' routine and found the

help we need, so far. I was prescribed Fosamax for my osteoprosis, but

absolutely couldn't afford it. We finally found someone in the hospital that

knew something. Now, I'll get the meds for one year and pay only a one time

charge of $10 for administrative service.

My wife has Type II Diabetes, and was prescribed a med that was really high

cost. I did a little research and found Bridges to Access, a program for

this type of help. The doctor even had the forms, but didn't know of it or

what it was for! The doctor, patient, and an Advocate must sign the form.

You add the 'proof of income' and the prescription and mail it in. If you

qualify, they mail the meds to you.

Look the name up on-line and see if it can help you, I think it will. Now if

I can only figure out the Medicare cards...
