Guest guest
Hi , Sorry you are not doing well. I remember reading about your surgery and recovery. Hope things are going well for you although I know you're suffering with your arthritis. I think with all you've been through it's fortunate that you can do the little you're doing...hang in there! I just joined the group about 10 days ago. Post #66224 I believe was my first. So, I'm a newbie here and am in awe of a lot of you who have been through hell and back and manage to offer advice and encouragment. I said I would TRY to walk my 2-3 miles, but it's easier said than done. The first 2 nights weren't so bad and my ankle only swole a little and my hips didn't hurt at all. But, I am unable to hold my cd player when I walk because of the pain in my elbow and hand. I couldn't walk for the last two nights due to rain, compliments of Hurricane Ivan (which has returned to bite us in the butt!) But, my biggest obstacle is not the hurricane, it's the BLIZZARD at Dairy Queen, which is right on my way home from my nightly walks! It doesn't help to walk 3 miles if I indulge in ice cream afterwards. Of course, it is a good source of calcium, which is great for my bones and joints, right??? LOL Take care of yourself, --You're an inspiration! Hugs, Tee
