Guest guest
Hi Kathe, I really understand your feelings. I too am a vegie and I too HATE traditional meds and tried to rebel against all the medications and I too homeschool my 4 kids for the last 7 years. Im 31 and diagnosed in the last year. I started on the methotrexate 4 weeks ago and tomorrow start plaquinel. Its benefits have not kicked in but I just keep praying and waiting. I did not want to have to depend on medications as my hubby and I are praying about going into the mission field. Most mission organizations dont want people with serious health issues. If the Lord wants us out there we will get there despite my diease. So far no side effects from the MTX but I am getting the injection and just doubled my dose last night. There is a support group at www.restministries.org it is for people with chronic illnesses and have a area for homeschoolers to help each other. I know you will find this group very helpful. If you need anything feel free to write me I would be glad to listen to you or help you in your journey. Latisha Tawny <tawnyokc@...> wrote: Welcome Kathe, I'm so glad that you found us for support. This is a wonderful group for great information, and finding people who understand. I am also homeschooling my daughter this year, she will be 10 next month. So, it's challenging at times, but so much fun. It sounds like your doing good with your diet, it's just very hard, I know. We just do the best we can, and keep our faith strong. The RA meds are very important, as you know. It helps stop the progression of the disease, so that is necessary. There is a lot of meds out there, you just have to keep trying until you find the best one suited for you. You take care, Tawny --- In , Kathe S Barsotti <kbarsotti@j...> wrote: > Hello.
