Guest guest
Hi June, I sympathize with your night sweats, June. I had my first bout with them about 15 yrs. ago and nobody ever figured out why. I would also sweat profusely all over my upper body. Don't know how many nights I had to get out of bed, change sheets, shower and put on fresh pj's. That was bad enough but what really got to me was the loss of sleep. I've never been very picky about my hair. Guess that's good now that I don't have a ton left. In fact, I'm getting ready to get it all cut off (below shoulder length now) because it's very wispy. It's not from any of my RA meds but rather a 106 degree fever I ran for several days. The stuffs coming out in handfuls and I know how awful it'll look when the new sprouts start coming in. So I'm going to go for something shortish and layered since it's wavy. You sound a LOT more fashion savvy than me...any hints? I'm 49 but not even ready for that old lady cut. UGH Anyway, how did I get off the sweats? They're back but this time it's menopause. I asked the doc how long this would last and the answer was " anywhere from a few weeks to several years " . OH JOY!!! My DH will be huddled in front of the woodstove this winter while I'm outside rolling naked in the snow. Not a pretty sight!!! I hope this turns out to be something minor for you. Try not to let your fears take control...which could be kind-of hard considering some of the things your doc mentioned. Will be praying for you. in NC
