Dx’d January 15, 2002

Age 63 at time of DX

PSA 5.23

Gleason of 3+3=6, by local hospital, 3+4=7 by s Hopkins, with perineural invasion noted

Urologist graded at T2a, Oncologist at T3b, both did DRE

Received IMRT Radiation, 44 treatments ending June 12, 2002

Started Zolodex, Casodex February 18, 2002, discontinued June 2004

Bone scan negative, CT of pelvis and abdomen negative

--------------------

I would appreciate any response, and my thanks to you.

In a recent physical and blood work, my PSA was noted at 0.03. Prior to this, it has stood at 0.00. Do I have cause for concern? I understand that during the period of ADT the therapy would have kept it at the low point, but now off that for two years, is it normal for the PSA to show some rise?

Also, I have pain located across the abdomen, all the way across, from my waist down to, but not including the genital area. I have had CT's, MRI's, and a colonoscopy. All clear. Does anyone have a clue, guess, as to what is causing this. Has been going on for over a year. Bending aggravates it. Lying down soothes it. I know - so lie down!

I would appreciate anyone taking the time to address this and give me your thoughts, guesses, reading of tea leaves, whatever.

The best to all of you, and thank you.

Your psa is probally ok. Keep records of the scores and watch for 3 consecutive rises. If it rises three times then begin to worry. As for the pain radiation kills allot more than just the cancer cells so you might be having pain from the treatment. Bone scans usually wont pickup tumors smaller that 2cm and ct's area also lacking on very small tumors but their among the best available. Relax and give it a close watch and if your doc's are good listen to them. Use green tea drink it then rad the leaves. best of luck Kimble wrote: Dx’d January 15, 2002 Age 63 at time of DX PSA 5.23 In a recent physical and blood work, my PSA was noted at 0.03. Hi .

I have scattered some tea from my wifes tea bags and although it is a little murky I think my WAG is have a bone mass density scan of your hips. There is a thing called Transient Osteoporosis that could just possibly cause pain in the area you mention. You did the Zolodex for 2 years and that may be a SE.

Why thank

you . I hope I make sense when I rattle on. I never know for sure anymore.

I’m kind of crusty like an old barnacle and can rub the wrong way sometimes.

Good Luck

Sam, I don't always understand you, my ignorance, and that goes for some of the other well-informed folks on this list, but I have to say I always get a charge out of your posts!

Take care, and best wishes.
