ny,

Here are the questions I wrote in response to another member.

What medications will be part of my therapy?

What do the medications do?

Should I take them at a special time of day?

What are the common side effects of these meds?

Are there any foods or beverages I should avoid?

How often will you test my blood?

How often will I be having any other tests?

If YOU had PSC, what course of action would YOU follow?

What is the best way for me to contact you if I have any questions?

Hi Martha,

I go tomorrow (Thursday) to see Dr. Vasa at KU. I will post a message here about what he says.

I am not so sure about the age vs transplant issue. I just have not read that much about that yet. Has your Doctor told you that?

I hope it will be of as much help to you as it has to me. I also live in Mo. near Springfield. Was wondering what your results were at K.U. Medical Center and if their advise was any different. My Dr. talked ab out my going either there or Columbia or even possibly Mayo's, but from what I have learned through this support group they are doing about everything here that can be done. I am 68 so I am sure they wouldn't consider me as a candidate for liver transplant, I have a lot of other health problems also. However I don't think I am to that point yet but I am sure it is coming. My greatest complaints are itching and fatigue, even with all the meds. they prescribed none of them seem to help that much. Let me know how you come out at K.U. Martha from Mo.
