Sulfasalazine and mouth ulcers

Yes, I'm still on the Sulfasazine. My rheumy increased the dose this past

spring to 1500mg and said that if the mouth ulcers started up again that we

would try changing to the gold or something else. MTX is out but that's the

one he really wanted.

Luckily no ulcers ths time around.

He gave me a Vit. B2 prescription (hope that's right), sorry, I don't

remember the strength. He also briefly reduced the Azulfidine from the then

1000mg to 500mg. They cleared up fairly quick after that and then we went

back up to 1000mg.

The ulcers weren't very painful, but plentiful and annoying.

Hope yours clear up soon. A week after starting the Sulfasazine and it

sounds related. Mention it to your rheumy.
