Thank you so much!!!!! I was feeling so horrible because of the

frequent infections. I thought that I was pretty much the only one that has

had this happen. My infections were happening about every two months.

I've been on antibiotics since 6/87 - it's a way

of life for me anymore. Alternate every 2 wks

w/Cipro & Augmentin.

-- I'm glad you feel better about your situation. My GI said that

there's a subclass of people who have PSC who have chronic infections as

their biggest problem. The weird thing for me is that my ultrasounds and CT

scans show that my bile ducts look pretty much the same as they did in 1995

(no further deterioration) -- so I haven't experienced too much liver

damage -- but I still have to worry about the infections. I hope you find a

treatment plan that helps you. Mine has worked for me.

To Penny -- I too had to be desensitized to Bactrim. I'm allergic to just

about everything!
