my sentiments exactly.....although I still find it funny.......on one hand there

are the major drug companies.....rushing new drugs to the market ....and not

fully being sure of their users safety....and on the other hand there are the

ambulance chasers i.e. lawyers ....out to make a quick buck.....and very

concerned about my/our health......it makes it hard to tell who's legit and who

isnt.....im looking at a local firm here in salt lake....but even then.....they

have advertised on the tv to attract vioxx users.... " regardless of how long you

were prescribed vioxx, you should act now....consult your doctor and call

us....1-800-fullofit " its ridiculous..........I feel I should be able to be

properly compensated for the stroke and my loss of vision...periphreal only

....but I had it before the stroke....and there was no explanation for the

stroke, other than my vioxx usage, .... actually with the estimated 250 billion

dollars Merck co. made from sales of vioxx worldwide....I shouldnt

even have to get a lawyer....only be able to prove my injury is legit....with

my medical records to back it up.......and Merck should be more than willing to

take care of it .....not ready to " vigorously defend all lawsuits " .....like they

commited no wrong.

I cannot lol about that, Rob. Greed in the form of lawsuits is a

major problem draining this country of innovation and risk-taking.

Please note that I am directing this comment toward the quick law

office response and not your decision to sue.

As I understand it, in a class-action suit only the lawyers get any money.

It's quickly swallowed up in " expenses " . You'll be lucky you get a cent from

it. If you want to sue, do it as an individual, or whatever your local

lawyer suggests.

I took Vioxx for 3 days. It made my left calf swell so big, I couldn't put

my pants on! I also noticed that there was a warning in the package that

prohibited taking it while using a certain blood pressure pill, I don't

remember offhand, but that's what I'm taking.
