Guest guest
I should be happy; is that true? I should be peaceful; is that true? I should not be stressful; is that true? I should not suffer; is that true? If you did, what did you find? What was its impact and what were you left with? Or, do you limit yourself to only to questions like: " I should have more money. " " My parents should approve of me. " " Jon should love me. " I think the first set of questions are basic and have potential to bring real change. I think second set of questions are endless and have potential to keep oneself occupied for lifetime and never really resolve anything. I think second second set of questions are 'mere entertainment' and 'mental occupation' they can't resolve anything real. Yes, that is my 'examined', 'investigated', 'experimented' belief and I have found them to be correct. And, yes, you are free to question, examine, investigate and argue with my 'find'. And, I think most people who endlessly question things like 'Jon should love me.', 'I should have more money.', 'I should be a better parent' are not really interested in truth... they simply want to keep the game going. Yes, I have investigated that and yes... I have found it to be true. Accept stress, pain, suffering whole-heatedly, uncoditionally , without questioning and the whole game is over! Don't accept them and you have resolved nothing real at all! And, a " teacher " who doesn't ask you to investigate " I shouldn't suffer. " is perhaps more interested in protecting his/her 'business interest' and doesn't really want you out of the game. Why I shouldn't suffer????? And, find out what is left to do. Guest guest
Thanks for that and yes I think with jons help I have actually started to move in this direction and the reason why I haven't questioned this before is because suggests pointing out in order to see in and I'm actually learning that a mix of both work for me xpipxx > > I should be happy; is that true? > > I should be peaceful; is that true? > > I should not be stressful; is that true? > > I should not suffer; is that true? > > > > If you did, what did you find? > > What was its impact and what were you left with? > > > > Or, do you limit yourself to only to questions like: > > " I should have more money. Guest guest
nice thoughts to question.. let's see. > > > I should be happy; is that true? yes i believe so. can i really know this? no. how do i react this thought? frustration that im not happy, angry at myself, at god, thinking whats wrong with me, judging myself, viewing the world as if most people are generally happy and only im truly unhappy. who would i be if i didn't think i should be happy? i wouldn't be surprised when suffering arises, i'd be more in tune with whats happening, id experience my life suffering or whatsever on first base without resistance. i'd have no hope of being happy, i would have figured this is life and that's that, i would let thing go on their on way.. not trying to change what i think is wrong with the world, because id think world IS WRONG thats what it supposed to be. T.A: i shouldn't be happy 1.apparently i shouldn't... cause im not. 2.maybe i came here in order to suffer 3.maybe there's no hidden meaning out there.. maybe it's all a big coincidence where evolution and nature are the driving forces, maybe it's not about me and not about anything.. 4.maybe with happiness i wouldn't move. 5.maybe it's all a giant malfunction. there's a sense to life is this true? donno. how do you react to this belief? im looking for it none stop, i move from one theory to another, i use my suffering as the guide tour to show me whats true and whats not, im being frustrated that the suffering never ends and that every theory fails to end it. im constantly messing with my head, believing that more knowlegde or way of thinking will change my life, believing that when i get the right answer, the universe will reward me with the end of suffering. so in addition to an existing suffering, this thought creates frustration and the attitude of control. who would you be if you didn't think there's a sense to life? i'd see the total chaos, not trying to understand it, id be simpler, more stupid, less knowing, suffering and not being surprised by it, not trying to change it, being in the " whatever " state of mind, being more of a viewer rather than a participator. T.A: there is no sense to life 1.yep. could be. T.A: there's a sense to dying 1.interesting that death is the only sure thing, it's the only thing that MUST HAPPEN, like a rule... so i ask you, whats so important about death that it must happen? > > > > I should be peaceful; is that true? > > > > I should not be stressful; is that true? > > > > I should not suffer; is that true? > > > > If you did, what did you find? > > > > What was its impact and what were you left with? > > > > Or, do you limit yourself to only to questions like: > > > > " I should have more money.
