Hi Mike and welcome. There are over 100 types of arthritis, and

treatment will depend on the type you have. I would suggest going

back to your doctor. There are some blood tests that can suggest a

possibility of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but don't mean all that

much and cannot support a diagnosis alone (ie. there is no test to

say you do or do not have RA). RA is usually diagnosed by a

specialist, a rheumatologist, who monitors your blood work and

symptoms, takes xrays, and if he/she suspects RA, will prescribe some

RA drugs and see how the symptoms react. It usually takes some time

to get an accurate diagnosis.

RA is treated very differently than the other most common form of

arthritis, osteoarthritis. That is because osteoarthritis is a

wearing down of joints over time, while RA is an immune system

disorder that affects the entire body and leads to joint/bone

errosion (joint deformity) and other potential serious health

problems. There is no known homeopathic treatment for RA that will

stop the progression of the disease, although diet, exercise and some

supplements can make a world of difference when used in combination

with RA drugs.

I hope this information helps.
