Guest guest
Cary, I was at rheumy's today and he told me that Bextra and Celebrex are being investigated also. Their office was a zoo - the phone never stopped ringing. All three of those made me sick so i stick with naprosyn. Birdijo@... wrote: HeeHee! Hey -I hear rumors Celebrex and Bextra are next....have you heard anything? It's a bummer, cuz Bextra has been working for me. I was having a lot of stomach pain from my ibuprofen habit. Not Mobic, though, because it's a little different. See you around! Cary

Guest guest
Ha ha, Cary! Celebrex and Bextra will be looked at very carefully in the coming weeks and months. There are those who have argued for a couple of years that the cardiovascular risk is a class effect, not just a problem with Vioxx. I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
Cary, I'm in the same boat with you, because Bextra has also been working for me. I had stomach bleeding from Aleve, which isn't even a prescription med. Now I'm afraid to take anything similar to that. I don't want to spare my stomach at the expense of my heart, though, as one of the articles I read pointed out. I am going to start taking Bextra every other day for a while and see what happens. If I don't have more pain, I'll try cutting it out altogether.
