Guest guest
Welcome Kathe, looking forward to getting to know our new members. Kathe, it is okay to hate the meds, we all do to some extent but I hate more the strong possibility of crippled joints down the road. I was unable to take Mtx and other meds because of liver problems but I do know that when I was taking it, I became able to walk better than I had in years. I was first diagnosed 20 years ago when there were no meds available to halt the progression I and have a lot of mangled joints(hands, feet, ankles etc.) Today, there is great hope for RA patients with the introduction of the biologics. Educate yourself about your disease and the meds your doctor recommends and I believe you will discover that the meds are not as scary as the alternative. You will learn a lot of valuable information via a and here and you will also find lots of wonderful emotional support, find new friends and last but not least, lots of laughter.
