I just read this on The Status, and thought I would pass it along. I

posted it once, but I must of hit the wrong button, for it

disappeared.

14-Jan-01 12:28 PM from Ed: Things are going better today and they

are letting me out of here after lunch. My heart is still mostly in

rhythm alhough it skipes around every now and then. There is still a

chance that it will go out in the next week but I am hopeful as are

they.

I feel pretty good right now so I am sure hoping. , , Rich,

and Ted are leaving today - great babysiters. My cousins, Don and

went home yesterday but called today.

My best to all of you out there. Thanks for inquiring.

Patient's Time Zone: (GMT -5:00) Eastern Time, Boston, Bogota

16-Jan-01 12:13 PM from Wehan: Ed called from Chicago. He is

with and waiting for his flight back to sunny California. Ed's

flight arrives in LA around 2pm.

Ed was discharged from the hospital on Sunday. However, he stayed in

an adjoining hotel awaiting additional tests on Monday.

On Monday, Ed had an echo, which came out positive... the heart is in

good shape. He is still very tired, weak and sore, but has a very

positive attitude.

Ed will be back at his house in Ventura on Wednesday.

Ed did say that he plans on running (or walking) the Lone Pine 10

miler come this May. He never gives up!!!!!
