Guest guest
, I'm afraid I have to agree with Jana. I understand a fluid bolus after pushing IV meds, but in trying to visualize the effect of a rectal air bolus, the first thing I thought of was bubbles blowing through your previously injected Phenergan. The second thing I thought of... well do you really want to add more " gas " in this area? " S " . Sorry, just had to say that. But you did raise my curiosity.----- Ibbotson, RN/EMT-I Original Message ----- To: <egroups> Sent: Thursday, November 18, 1999 20:01 Subject: [texasems-L] Re: Rectal Medication Administration I'm sorry, but I don't understand the AIR bolus. I checked my textbook and several others, spoke with my instructors and several other medics and no one else understands either. In fact, I got laughed at and comments were made about rude noises, etc. I don't intend to be mean or degrading, will you explain what this does? Thanks!
