So, when you go over to the CostCo site and look at this thing,

there's a disclaimer that states " not a medical device " . Out of

curiosity, I googled how much it would cost to get the Welch-Allyn BP

cuff with digital thermometer and pulse-oximeter that my residency's

medical practice uses: $2415.

Yowza/wowza.

For the sake of our collective (financial) health, maybe we need to

employ fewer " medical devices " .

I got mine at REI, says it is not a medical device, but it is accurate when

tested against one we have for newborn/other kids that is a medical device. The

medical one cost us about 500 and the REI one cost us 150.

We practice at 8800 feet, we do pulse oxy on everyone, every visit. Had a guy

from Tx with HAPE and a pulse ox of 73 yesterday! Got him to 88 on 8 liters

rebreather. Sent to Denver and did great.
