Guest guest
Hi Heidy, Thanks for your support and concern. To tell you the truth I don't know what I have. I've felt, for the last 5 years or so, like I can't breathe, like my airways get narrow. It's impossible for me to sleep on my back or wear anything tight on my neck. After years of being treated for asthma and with antacids, the doctor gave me the " it's in your head, it's anxiety " speech, so I went to an ears nose and throat doc, who thinks I have a problem with my esophagus. After all these years, on Monday i'm going finally to a stomach specialist. I'm really depressed and scared, I haven't been able to sleep because I wake up choking. I found a mailing list on reflux disorders and so fal I've learned that it can range from mild to really serious. But it remains to be seen that in fact I'll get the proper diagnosis. It reminds me of the vv, it took me 11 years to find someone who took it seriously. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent, and hopefully this will pass soon and I'll be able to start fighting the vv again. thanks for all the support, to all the people on the list. Funny - I have the same symptoms. I finally solved my problem by leaving a small fan going in my bedroom all night to keep the air moving. (my mother had the same problem and solved it the same way) I leave the window open - even a crack, when it is cold out. Just bundle up more. I sleep on my stomach or side with two pillows, one hard and one soft - the hard one on top. These are small pillows from the sofa. I also always leave a door open in my home - I feel stifled with all the doors and windows closed. Guess I am a fresh air fiend. But still air really bothers me.
