Hi Positive People,

One of my favorite Positive People,

Reeve has left us and

I’m sure he will be long remembered

for his work both as an activist for the

disabled and as an actor.

His doctors have been quoted as saying

that the main reason for his longevity in

his condition was his “Positive Attitude”

most with his injury only live a year or less.

His attitude and efforts from his paralyzed

body will always serve as an example to me.

As my good friend W. says

“It’s not what happens to you that matters,

it’s what you do about it!”

Reeve you will always be

“superman” to me, not for your famous

movie role, but for the real life example

you set for all of us.

ATTITUDE

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of

attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important

than facts.

It is more important than the past, than education,

than money, than circumstances, than failures,

than successes, than what other people say or do.

It is more important than appearance, giftedness,

or skill. It will make or break a company, a church,

a home, a family or friendship.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day

regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past . We cannot change the

fact that people will act in a certain way. We

cannot change the inevitable.

The only think we can do is play on the one string

we have control over and that is our attitude.

Reeve

Actor, director and activist are just some of the words

used to describe Reeve.

From his first appearance at the town Theatre

Festival at the age of 15, to his most famous role on film

playing the man of steel " Superman " Reeve established

a reputation as one of the country’s leading actors.

However, since he was paralyzed in an equestrian

competition in 1995, Reeve has not only put a human

face on spinal cord injury but he has motivated

neuroscientists around the world to conquer the

most complex diseases of the brain and central

nervous system.

For those who care to do so, the family has requested

that donations be made in his honor to the

Reeve Foundation to support the

ongoing work of helping the injured and curing

spinal cord injuries.
