Guest guest
I would just like to share a couple of techniques (add-ons) that I use while doing The Work - one at the beginning, one at the end - kind of, brackets. Let me explain. Doing The Work is part of my morning routine - as says: " have The Work for breakfast " . I tend to allocate about 30 minutes. It is a meditation session. Opening bracket: So as to make the best of the time, I spend about five minutes preparing - that is, I just write out my mind on paper - whatever comes up. What I am trying to do here is find the thought that is most charged at that moment. I am trying to home in on the thought that is most worth spending time on - most worth questioning - for me at that time - in my opinion. So, this bracket is about picking out the most worthwhile thought to work on - given that I have 30 minutes. Closing bracket: At the end, after the turnarounds - I ask myself: " So, what is the truth here for you? " This question right at the end is kind of a counter to " doing The Work for a motive " . It helps me to focus on doing The Work " for the love of Truth " . Quite often, the answer is: " Well, I really don't know if bla bla " . Or something like, " Well, I want this thing to happen and actually also, at the same time, I want that thing to happen so that is what is blocking me - wanting these two things at the same time. " Just wanted to share all of that. Very glad to hear your commments/views and also to hear if you have any 'The Work add-ons' that help you.
