Guest guest
TO REMEMBER ME Give my sight to the man who has never seen a sunrise, a baby's face or the love in the eyes of a woman. Give my heart to a person whose own heart has caused nothing but endless days of pain. Give my kidneys to one who depends on a machine to exist from week to week. Take my bones, every muscle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk. If you must bury something, let be my faults, my weaknesses and all prejudice against my fellow man. Give my sins to the devil. Give my soul to God. If, by chance, you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you. If you do all I have asked I will live forever. ~ N. Test~ ~ " If I could reach up and hold a star for every time you've made me smile, the entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand. Guest guest
Jan - This is beautiful. It is particularly poignant for those of us with systemic illness ( as far as organ donation is concerned ). We can give bodies for research and I think eyes - unless effected by some of the side effects of RA/Lupus- but we are often not allowed to do organ donation. The balance is also lovely. > > TO REMEMBER ME > > Give my sight to the man who has never seen a sunrise, a baby's face or the love > in the eyes of a woman. > > Give my heart to a person whose own heart has caused nothing but endless days of > pain. > > Give my kidneys to one who depends on a machine to exist from week to week. > > Take my bones, every muscle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to > make a crippled child walk. > > If you must bury something, let be my faults, my weaknesses and all prejudice > against my fellow man. > > Give my sins to the devil. > > Give my soul to God. > > If, by chance, you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to > someone who needs you. > > If you do all I have asked I will live forever. > ~ N.
