The vaccine hadn't time to build antiboties at by then.. so I am sure

you were exposed to the flu.

Too many people besides me to be coincidental in my book. We always got them

long before flu season started.

Hi Witness,

I disagree that someone can't get the flu one week after receiving the

vaccine. You can get the flu DIRECTLY from the vaccine. After all, you are

getting a massive dose of flu viruses along with adjuvants, preservatives

and other immune-suppressive ingredients. Our immune systems are NOT built

for this sort of abuse and they can cause these symptoms - whether you call

it the flu or not really doesn't matter. I always love it when I read that

the most common side effects of flu vaccine (and lots of other vaccines, for

that matter) are flu-like symptoms, but it's not the flu.

Well, it walks like a duck.....

Whether the virus is live or not doesn't really matter. We don't understand

the immune system at all. We don't understand how viruses actually are

inactivated and it is well known that inactive viruses can still revert to

become virulent - after all, there are millions of viruses in that vaccine -

they can't possibly kill every one.

Just MNSHO - but any vaccine can give you the symptoms of the disease they

are meant to prevent - whether that is then called that disease is a matter

of how honest the medical community actually is at the time - and we all

know the answer to that!

Take care,

Meryl

Yes, you can get the flu from flu mist. This is why it is only

recommended for certain age groups and those without chronic

illnesses. IT IS part live virus they do admit that on their website.

The shot/flu vaccine is inactivated and you shouldn't get the flu

from it. I read where you got the flu one week after the vaccine.

The vaccine hadn't time to build antiboties at by then.. so I am sure

you were exposed to the flu.

As an ER nurse we are always incouraged to get the vaccine...of

course I DECLINE every year.

I'm firmly convinced that is exactly what happened to my daughter

and myself last weekend. On Friday evening we shopped at a nearby

Walmart SuperCenter and by Sunday morning we both had fevers of

101-102° muscle and joint pain, unrelenting headaches, stuffed

noses (and she had a sore throat.) The symptoms persisted for 4

days. My daughter's pediatrician asked if we had been travelling

since there was no flu in his very large practice-just a few

URIs. I know no one who is or was sick with similar symptoms-and

the school was surprised too, saying they weren't seeing any flu

either. That was the only place we were together to pick up

essentially simultaneous infections-and their pharmacy had

sponsored an afternoon FluMist clinic. I'm a few months away from

52, am asthmatic and I sure hadn't planned to use FluMist-nor

have my children receive it. I am a personal assistant for shut

in elderly people and now worry that I might be a risk to them.

As a footnote-I'm NOT a Walmart basher either... I have always

shopped there and find it helps my single parent family stretch

the budget a bit more. But-I don't know if I dare risk shopping

there (of course, those vaccinated can go almost anywhere and

sneeze or otherwise contaminate the environment) if my savings

will be wiped out by my co-pays when I am made ill with

engineered viruses. I fear we will be hearing more about this

lousy vaccine and plan.

>In my non-scientific opinion and humble opinion, it seems to me that if you

have a live virus in your nose, the minute you sneeze or scratch your nose,

you become a virus spreader.....Just my thought.

Dr. Sherri Tenpenney warned exactly that. She said people would sneeze it into

the air and spread it. As soon as it goes up there nose in Walmart or whereever

they will sneeze those germs on unknowing victims. It is insane in my opinion.

I've read that people who use the flumist can infect others for up to

21 days after the initial treatment.

The warning said they should stay away from people with weak immune

systems.

Hello all,

I haven't gotten any info on flu shots here. My daughters go to the doctor

the end of this month. Last year they refused to give flu mist to my younger

daughter because I was on MTX and my daughter has sickle cell anemia. So they

made us all take the shot. Younger child was NOT happy about that because she

has been taking the flu mist since it was in the the trial stages. We have

been in a study group since she was a baby.

I think this year we will all try flu mist. Since I am on no meds I see no

problem. Considering both my daughters had Type A influenza last year....flu

mist should be no problem. The funny thing is after they both had influenza

and was over it they gave then the flu shots in November. I was questioning

them why even bother at this point. Give it to someone else really at risk.

I was going to ask my rheummy, but I missed my appt last week. So I will

just go and get my shot. If I can get another appt I will let him know I have

my

flu mist by then.
