Guest guest
I do a fair amount of this in our office.I've not had insurance cover it but these are usually people paying quite a bit for a trip so I rarely have anyone complain about the bill. I simply bill 99212-5 based on the usual criteria or, frequently, time. We have not obtained a certificate for Yellow Fever vaccinations. It's not worth it for the few times we need it. Am also seeing " travel consultations " which may be different from travel counseling. How are others in the group doing travel counseling/consulting? How is insurance reimbursement working? Guest guest
Some of us on the list serve belong to Travel Clinics of America. You may want to contact Alla Kirsch, MD to find out more. You see patients in your office, the patients pay with a credit card through TCA, and then you get a check mailed monthly, minus a percentage processing/etc fee. This way you don't have to deal with insurances, etc. Yellow Fever certificate in NY was very simple, just had to call up and request it. Did not need to do anything special. You can order 5 single doses at a time from Sanofi, and I have always used them up before they expire. Margaret Coughlan Re: Travel Counseling  I do a fair amount of this in our office.
