Guest guest
Sorry to hear it took quite a bit out of her. But glad to hear she is getting better. It sounds similar to my situation. I am glad to hear that in her case she was able to get more intensive therapy. In my case, it was hard, from the way I see it, for Therapists and such to picture what I was before Surgery, and what I was looking at getting back (to some extent, atleast)........because, technically, even before my last Surgery, I shouldn't have been doing as good as I was. And my Dr.'s were even perplexed at what must have happened during Surgery..........so that was never figured out, thus how to " treat " it was never figured out either. I always found those Abdominal Binders helped with pain.........sorry to hear that is not the case for her. Yes, it does make that figure alittle better, doesn't it? Hopefully she is home by now. Me Nebraska, USA mymocha@... !She was very weak, and could barely walk. She really is unstable on her feet. She had lost a lot of mobility before surgery, and this is to get her back to baseline, hopefully it will work. Otherwise her pain has been a lot lower then usual, and I think it is from that Clonidine, and she never really complains of the Neuropathic pain either!! She says her back is bothering her, but it is probably from the abdominal binder that Dr. Frim is making her wear. It does do a lot for her figure though... Guest guest
The binders also help keep the scar smaller per Dr. Frim. Yeah, and that was the problem they looked at her like she had some strength, however I knew she was far from baseline. I think she is now getting around better, not as good as before surgery, but better. Dr. Frim did tell her she will probably need the surgery again, and maybe again.... and that between the ages of 18-40 she should not need the surgery as often, and after 40 he would be retired, and he didn't care! So only time will tell, hopefully her laying flat on her belly for 5 days will give her more time in between de-tetherings. This last time was about a year and a half. Well, thanks for you input it is always so helpful. Thanks, Tommi --- Brande wrote: > Sorry to hear it took quite a bit out of her.
