Hey, Mike! As your moderator .... that's pretty cheeky! +_+ Loved the poem, Frances. Cackling along with you! The devastation to trees from the ice storm around my area is heart-wrenching. Even a couple of my "favorite" trees, the ones I always look forward to for spring green and fall red, were hit hard. Half of one of the old red pines in my back yard came down, smashing a couple of rambling roses. Areas around me still have no power. The falling trees brought down utility poles, too. Snow today, has now turned to sleet. It's going to be a slippery day. The blue jays are on my porch eating the food that awaits the feral cats. Haven't seen them yet this morning --a tiger I call Monkey, a b/w tuxedo sweetie whose name is Andi (short for Andromache, she was born in my basement and half socialized, and she's my inside cat 's sister), a gray/white big guy called Sailor. They know their names. I don't name the 'possums. We persevere. I love New England, even with this reminder of the climate. Cheers to all, phoebe ************************** Phoebe Wray author of JEMMA7729 from EDGE Science Fiction & Fantasy Publishing www.edgewebsite.com "... beats the crap out of 75% of the stuff on the shelves...Jemma7729 is a good solid action adventure novel." -- NeoOpsis Magazine, June 2008 FIVE STARS ON AMAZON.COM COMING SOON!!
