Guest guest
Agree completely! We used RelayHealth for 6 years. Every " upgrade " made it worse and worse. Now we only use it for referrals for our HMO patients. We would rather pay $900/year for the e-MDs Patient Portal than use RH, which is free for us to use through our IPA. Regarding virtual visits, it is a huge learning curve, depending on your area. We are 30 minutes from the Silicon Valley, and because the majority of docs don't use a portal, patients still pick up the phone and call for stuff they can do on the portal. It is easier to pick up the phone than try to remember your username and password. But we try to gently remind them when they call and we see that they are portal patients (did you know that you could have just sent a portal message?). I think the patients prefer the human touch when talking to their doctor.... Pratt Just spent some time on the Relay Health website. Something told me that they were a possible solution to patient portals and online access. They may be. But let me rant and tell you, if you're designing a website, or planning to redesign one, go and look at their site as an example of what NOT TO DO. Awful website. Just spent 20 minutes there and know no more about them now then when I arrived.
