Thanks for that article, . Now pronounce onychoschizia, please, LOL.

I think that my brittle splitting nails must be from over exposure to

moisture, since my toenails are strong. I have been taking biotin for

several months, but my tablets are only 1500mcg. The article says to

get the 1mg tablets and take several a day.

I have to go to the bathroom a lot, so I wash my hands a lot. Maybe

that is my problem. I would use a hand sanitizer sometimes, but they

contain alcohol, which also dries the skin and fingernails.

I have one nail that has a line on it all the way to the cuticle. I

keep a vertical split in that nail, even though I keep it cut as short

as possible.

Maybe I'll get more biotin. Sue
