Guest guest
The practice I am working part time at asked me yesterday for suggestions of other services we could offer to increase revenue. Currently we offer a physician & dietician managed healthy weight loss program, Pain management for chronic pain patients over the age of 25 with significant history or debilitating injury or cancerous f/u treatment. We are also starting to offer osteopathic manipulations for ROM and chronic pain conditions such as carpal tunnel; migraine headaches. Travel vaccines given that the practice is located close to Atlanta and a lot of international travelers come in. What else might they consider adding to the services they are offering? I thought about Botox since I had done this before at another practice and I am completing the CME to be able to offer Suboxone detox and maintenance to chronic opioid addicts. Any suggestions I might be able to give my boss? Dr. Beth Sullivan, DO
Guest guest
Hi Beth,I know an Ob/gyn group that has made a great deal of revenue from laser hair removal. But you need to know if there is already an overabundance in your area of any added services. The practice should strive to stand out from the rest for one reason or another, otherwise it just becomes an added expense to purchase equipment and hire employees. Guest guest
EKG, spirometry in house. Depends on demographics, payment class, etc. Think "one stop shopping." Tell us more about demographics and practice set up? Thinking of doing something similar to you but a bigger actor, probably 1 day out of 5... Keeping regular practice as well, so have to pay staffing still (I am what I consider "IMP lite" by having 2 FTEs).
