Guest guest
Iam a 34 yer old woman with CFIDS.I have been sick now for 12 years on and off. Unfortuneately it seems that somehow the illness is affecting my heart.I have experienced episodes of a very fast, irregular heartrate that lasts for just a few minutes on and off through my life. For some reason I never could get a doctor to believe that what was happening was actually being caused by my heart.I finally did find adoctor that agreed to do an ep study lst month. Much to his surprise I was in atrial flutter just 1 minute into the tudy. The flutter quickly deteriorated to fibrillation that would not convrt bck to NSR. So I was anesthesized and cardioverted/ I hd a second AV Node ablated and 18 areas n my atria lso. Honetly, I felt everything and itwas pretty horrible. I was sent home that evening (Iwas surprised to be sent home but figure it may have something to do with being on Medicaid.) I had a very bad arrythmia episode that evening and by the time I got back to the hospital I was in NSR again and was sent home aain. Anyway since then (about 4 weeks)) my previously high heart rate(about 95 at rest) has been a nice slow 74. I did not begin the Nadolol as the doc prescribed because I am just very leery of meds.He told me that w/outthe Nadolol my heart rate would eventually go up again and for the past 2 days it is once again around 95 atrest and much higher jut walking around. So now I must choose between taking the Nadolol or not. What I really want is to get to the bottom of what is causing the problems. But from readin past posts Isee tha it wont be an easy thing to do. Does anyone ave any thyroid info? My TSH is always quite low. I saw an endo ad they did a workup andound all to be 'norml'. Is ths something that maybe I should pursue? Thank you, any ifo is appreciated.a
