We get them from www.justcms1500forms.com. And our MC carrier will not process

them if you try to print your own with red ink.---Sharlene

We bill Medicare electronically, but I was relaying the experience of an IMP

friend who tried printing her forms in red ink when she first started, and they

all bounced back. I don't know about trying to print them without the form. We

use the 1500s when doing paper bills for secondaries, when we have to send the

primary EOB with it. Do you print those without the form in the

background?---Sharlene

, I could send the 1500 electronically to the secondaries, but they won't

pay without Medicare's EOB, and I don't trust them to be able to match them up

if they are sent separately. If you figure out a way that works, let me know.

We satisfy ourselves by bugging our patients until they call their secondaries

to arrange automatic crossover of the bill from Medicare, whenever possible.

Some companies say they can't, though.---Sharlene

Wen, we have never had commercial primary and secondary insurances cross over

automatically. We always send the paper bill because I cannot bear to let any

money I'm entitled to get away!---Sharlene
