Also what on earth is Crisco vegetable oil - is this something that you would

normally cook with? Please educate me!

-Fabia, I can't help with A & D, but Crisco is a vegetable oil. Probably what

you are thinking of is the hydrogenated form of Crisco. It is a solid that you

bake with instead of using butter or margarine. Some people find it protective

and soothing. You probably have something similar in the UK.

A & D Ointment is normally found in the section with baby products

including diaper ointments. It contains vaseline, lanolin, cod liver oil

and paraffin. It is very soothing.
