Guest guest
Well done. There are some really interesting statements here. It will fun to see what developes as you take some (all) of them and answer the questions and do the turnarounds. I hope you will notice that even tho they point outward, they are really about you, your values, beliefs and stories. And that's the point I've been trying to make on this board about pointing outwards. thanks for your efforts. Vivian I should not throw my shoes at Bush! I've had a helluva time trying to find my outward pointing judgements, so I interviewed a friend last night while we were watching the news. And it turns out she said exactly what I was thinking, just much more articulated then I could have put it together. So here are some statements. The news stations should have reported why they guy threw his shoes at Bush. Throwing a shoe says alot. Throwing shoes means you severely dislike the person or what they have done. The news should tell the truth. I'm hurt at the fact they believe me so stupid. I'm disgusted theyre feeding me bullshit and expect me to believe it. Something has gone wrong. Suburbia is horrible. Suburbia is a lie. The news takes whats real and makes a pretty picture. The news should not lie. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Hi (what is your name?), If I was taking these statements through the work: > I'm hurt at the fact they believe me so stupid. > I'm disgusted theyre feeding me bullshit and expect me to believe it. I would extract the beliefs / stressful thoughts: They believe I am stupid They are feeding me bullshit They expect me to to believe bullshit And inquire into them individually - maybe initially the 4 questions and turnarounds, then just turnarounds for the 2nd and 3rd statements. You may already know to do this - to remove the emotion at the start of the statement - just sharing it in case there are others reading this that are new to the work. Guest guest
How about I should throw my shoes at Obama? I think all of the below judgments would apply equally.
