Guest guest
Hi all, Sorry to bring this up but it is of great concern to Ed (my husband) and the Dr.'s can't seem to figure it out. He has been having extreme diarrhea since his failed ERCP last fall. By failed, I mean, they tried to open his bile ducts but were unsuccesful and he ended up with a bad infection and was in the hospital for a week. He may have had Pancreatitis, we don't know. But ever since then he has had 5-8 BM's a day! The Dr. here has had his stool tested for just about everything and can't figure it out. He has a high fat content in his stool. He isn't keeping important nutrients in his body and they are worried he has malabsortion. We see Dr. Kaplan at NE MEdical in a few weeks, but, he is more concerned about his liver and getting him a transplant.....we've tried pancreatic enzymes but they made the diarrhea worse.... any thoughts? Thanks Gracie ------------------------------------------------------------------------
