Hi Group--

For those of you who aren't on the LiverSupport Group, info.

just came across that there is an article in the McCall's Feb. '99

issue about a woman w/PSC who had a transplant. The person

who provided this info. gave the following e-mail address where

people can write re: past artciles. The idea is to get more articles/

attention going re: donor awareness. Here's the address:

mailcall@...

On another note, there's a liver transplant support group about 40

minutes from here that has monthly meetings. March's meeting

is re: the internet. What does anyone think of my telling them of

our website? (I met a woman at Mayo Clinic Nov. '98 who has (had)

PSC, UC and had a transplant a couple yrs ago. She's the one

who told me of it. Stan--she's from Norwalk. She & I are going

to the meeting in Ames in March.) We may get some good info.

from those who have been down our path, but don't know if we want

them to " Join " specifically. Any thoughts??

Laurie,

I would defintely tell them about this group and the website. There are so

many people out there lost and alone (like me and Ed were) with no where to

turn for information. Go for it!

Laurie,

I am not trying to stop anyone from joining, but I do like the fact that

we are a small " family " . Or not so small anymore. I would still LOVE to

welcome PSC patients to this group. but it is up to everyone else if we

welcome post tx or not.

I agree w/PSC members in this group. I was just thinking of any PSC members

who are post transplant. I'll not suggest it if you prefer--I just thought

they would have first-hand info. on questions I'm sure we all have.

I'll find out their names & correspond w/them individually.
