Hi ,

You seem to know a bit about this cortisol stuff. The last time I saw

an endocronologist and the did bloods my levels of cortisol were

really high but she said I had really low growth hormone(didn't think

that mattered when you had finished growing)They went to start me on

prednisone but it made me feel really sick even though it was a low

dose.I had my cortisol done again last year and it was still high. Can

this cause other problems in the body??Its a complex thing this human

body especially when it relates to the chemicals we produce and the

effects they have on us.On a rather personal nature has anyone had

problems with there sex life and pain and strange sensation(almost

like hitting your funny bone but not your elbow. Also started to have a

few problems with my bladder ,its like it don't realize it was that

full and seem to urinate for ages and halfway through stop feeling it

but I am still going.Don't mind if you email on this one if is too

personal.Some bits I can't really say,seem a bit embarrassing to post.

Regards

I don't really know a lot about stuff, but I am a real

nut for physiology, hormones, neurotransmitters, and

how they affect the different systems. I keep wishing

I had majored in biology instead of psychology.

I think growth hormone declines as you age, but you

still have some. Growth hormone isn't just for when

you are growing tall, but you grow muscle, bones, you

have some level of it at all times. More when you're

younger, and that led a lot of people to think that if

we could bottle growth hormone, everyone could be

young forever. It was touted as a weight loss miracle

a few years ago.

Sex is interesting for me. It doesn't embarrass me

anymore, and honestly, some of the things people bring

up on this list, sex is not the least bit out there!

I don't have feeling in " that area " and I never have.

You know that saying " You don't know what you don't

know " ? Well, you don't miss what you never had

either. It never occurred to me that I should be

feeling stuff there. The brain is truly the biggest

sex organ, and I haven't lacked in that area, either.

I have strange sensations during intercourse

sometimes, usually when I'm having bowel issues. I

don't know, that whole area is so interconnected - the

bowels, bladder, uterus, everything in the lower

region. I think if one thing is out of whack, lots of

things get out of whack. Do you notice a pattern when

you get that " funny bone " feeling? Is it during a time

when something else is going on?
