Guest guest
Dear , You are sending Rick, and Frazzle, here to bed with a smile! What a wonderful idea! I'll send you a private post, along with a picture of Rick! I was just posting signs around the house reminding Rick that he has clear-liquids-only/no red or purple/ beginning tomorrow morning to prepare for colonoscopy on Friday. Your post made us both smile!!! Thanks beyond the telling, Kathie, Mom of Rick, Crohn's since age 2, PSC diagnosed 3/01; colonoscopy Friday, 11/2, ERCP in the next two weeks!! Guest guest
dear kathie (or should i call you by your new nickname "frazzle" ...i like that, it's kinda cute!), you may have already learned this from the group already -- but it bears repeating for our newcomers: since your rick is facing some tests for which he must fast, and for which he would likely want to eat light prior to........ popsicle brand makes something called "great white" -- a box of frozen popsicles in grape, cherry, and assorted "mystery" flavors... with absolutely no coloring... no mess for the drip-prone kidlets... and no red or purple "color" for people facing colonoscopies, woo-hoo! jim said they tasted pretty darned good... he had one the day before his ERCP. i couldn't find any at von's or stater brothers, but i DID end up finding some (either at ralph's or albertson's). if you don't have any and can't find great whites for rick in time for him to enjoy today, before tomorrow's colonoscopy, then perhaps you'll find some prior to the oh-so-fun ERCP in two weeks' time :-) all our best to you, your son rick, and to the rest of your family, maureen (and jim)
