Guest guest Posted October 9, 2004 Report Share Posted October 9, 2004 Spider Web Pumpkin Pie Makes one 9-inch pie Ingredients For the crust: 1 9-inch Classic Crisco® Single Pie Crust, unbaked For the filling: 1 16-ounce can pumpkin (not pie filling) 1 12-ounce can evaporated milk 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (freshly grated, if possible) 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves For the garnish: Freshly whipped, sweetened cream Preparation Preheat oven to 350° F. In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, blend all ingredients together until smooth and combined. Pour filling into unbaked pie crust. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool pie completely on a wire rack, then refrigerate until serving time. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
