Sandy, and all,

I too would like to know more specifics regarding Sandy's recommendations for herbs, oils, etc etc. What are they specifically? What do you do with what?? What are the breathing techniques?? What type of air filters or air cleaners? Hepa filters? Ionic ones?

Pulmonologist just started me this week on 4 new meds and I'm desperate enough to now be taking them, just to try to breathe better and stop coughing. Started on Ethambutol, Rifampin, Zithromax and inhaler Beclamethasone. Additionally I'm using Serevent and Albuterol (every 2-4 hrs) Since being dx in 1992 I've never ever coughed anything up but past 3 weeks or so have been, though not much. That is decreasing now and nearly gone. Back to the dry hacking cough and now either pulled a muscle or broke a rib from coughing. Feeling very frustrated with not getting better (this seems to be the worst round ever, got sick when I flew to Bahamas in November and haven't gotten over the cough since) and frustrated with the Dr putting off any tx at all until I demanded something this week. I'd really like to get off of inhalers and meds if possible. Seems that many recommendations on this site though refer to clearing sinuses and mucus which do not affect me.

Have heard that ginger quells a cough so am trying that in everything - no luck. Started some herbal Gypsy Cold Care tea this week that is supposed to promote respiratory health.

So, any and all recommendations will be appreciated.

, your website is terrific. Thanks for that........... , Portland, OR
