Guest guest
Icd-10 isn't required for 2 more years - starting 10/1/13. Why would you convert already?5010 is required on 1/1/12, which has to do with the electronic transmission of claims. Is that what you are referring to? Here is the CMS website about both: https://www.cms.gov/icd10/ Pratt Where can I fid a list of the new icd 10 codes. Have some of you made the conversion yet? Guest guest
Why now?: I have read several short articles on ICD 10 that have recommeneded gearing up now as it takes time to do the conversion. THat is why I asked if anyone had tackled it yet. Whether there is a way to load the list en mass or if it has to be done item by item. Also whether you can (dont see why not) load only the ones you use commonly. i think there is about 125,000 codes but you can purchase a book now about 2 inch thick Subject: ICD 10 To: " practiceimprovement1 " < >Date: Sunday, September 11, 2011, 11:37 AM Where can I fid a list of the new icd 10 codes. Guest guest
Was delayed, wasn't it? ICD 10 ICD 10 - UGH !! And, on the heels of Meaningless Use Phase II Double UGH !! Retirement is looking better all the time. I have attested for MU Phase I, but have scanned the additional requirements for Phase II and am depressed. The attached Podcast regards preparing for ICD 10 and it also sounds daunting. Have any of you begun ICD 10 preparations/ changes? What are the resources for assistance in the transisiton ? (the local REC was very helpful in my MU part I attestation, but I dont think they are in the business of ICD 10) http://www.physicianspractice.com/podcasts/content/article/1462168/1878394
