Guest guest
Hi Florence, Just my opinion,!!! I know what you mean about the sagging libido. *sigh*, though mine's great at the moment, (PLEASE LET IT CONTINUE), and has been for about 5 months. But for 3 years before that, NIL!!! NADA!!! KAPUT!!! like rubbing my elbow <giggle> and believe me, NOT MY NATURE. TALK ABOUT FRUSTRATING....I felt I was just 'numb', of course with the vv pain, it helped I guess....not having a libido. But I was like a zombie, just no 'zest' for anything during this time, like let me lay down and die. I personally use traditional Testosterone. Here's the biggest difference I found though with my searching. There are basically two different types, a natural and a methyl. The methyl T. will NOT raise the levels in the blood, as I well know with my doctor giving me this initially, and couldn't figure out WHY my levels didn't move. (by the way, I have a record of my levels from when I was younger, LUCKY ME!) (thank goodness I found this out with searching. (re: the levels moving) I found out that by being on the 'methyl " form it will NOT raise. It ended up he gave me a dosage of the methyl T. so high, that a body builder would 'kill' for what my prescription was. Ha ha... So of course I started 'searching'..what was even more frustrating is that the 3 pharmacists I talked to didn't know the difference either. *sigh* by the way, I didn't notice any good/bad effects tho, but I was only on it for about 1 1/2 months. I realized that the natural is much better, and a much smaller dose is needed. SO I went on a natural oral T.but it didn't do much either. THEN..... I went to a sublingual form. (under the tongue) I can't tell you what a difference it made!!!!!! just unbelievable!!! Fantastic!! what more can I say ? *chuckle*.. but it wasn't just the sex part, it was my whole being, like attitude, no more exhaustion, depression, or brain fog, or lack of concentration, etc.etc.I mean my whole body/mind felt wonderful. Hope that makes sense? It may have something to do with our guts just not absorbing correctly the older we get, where as in the sublingual it's a direct shot to the blood stream. Fortunately this all tied in at the same time as I finally felt I was cured and relieved from the pain of the VV. And raring to test it out, ha ha...*blush* The natural T. is made with soy much like the Estrace, (which by the way I take a generic Estrace (estradiol beta 17) and I take one pill that has both (the T. and the E.) in it under the tongue. Absolutely, no side effects, no hairiness, no deeping of the voice, no agression! I THINK MEN WANT TO SCARE US, ha ha...and my level is back to where it should be. (tho much higher than what 'they' call the 'normal' range. But its normal for me. I believe you have to go by symptoms/ results. As to herbal supplements, I do know that DHEA is a precursor to testosterone, and also Estrogen (estradiol) helps promote Testosterone and vice versa, You can also take Dioscorea villosa, a precursor to Dhea, but much more gentle. (which I also take 2 a day of) as reg. Dhea made my breasts too tender... As far as MSM and those others on that site, I really don't know, not having used them. But for some reason I think of Androstenoids as what body builders use. ???? but haven't really checked that out. Feeling I'm ok with the Natural Testosterone, and don't want to change a thing!!! its too good!! I will say that MSM sure sounds like good stuff though, Oh, one other thing, if one has had breast cancer or predisposition, you DO want to go on the Methyl form of T. because it won't produce Estrogen and is better for you. Keep in mind all this is my opinion and conclusions I've come to with my seeking information. But.... it sure worked for me, and I've been on it for 5 months now. Hope this helps some...sorry I'm so long winded, take care, Warmest, Dee~ < happy, smiling me
