I have found that using plain old Crisco or Aquaphor ointment (found in the

drugstore next to the Vaseline, which is also good) is soothing when my

mucosa is irritated and sore. It's not a cure, but I feel like it at least

protects the area and lets it have more of a chance to heal. Also, they

are non-irritating, especially the Crisco. Good luck and I hope you start

to feel better soon!

Hi e,

I just read your post with interest, and wonder if the cuts etc could be a

result of a yeast infection? I say this as I'm having problems with antibiotics

for uti's. I keep getting yeast infections and the same symptoms as you, but

once I've taken a diflucan the cuts and soreness etc disappear; then it happens

all over again.

Hi all,

Well, I am in the middle of a flare-up. Have those lovely little cuts and

the whole area is red and stings. Hurts to sit. Funny thing is though that

this flare-up started at the same time as a bout of the flu. Maybe it is an

immune system thing. Anyway, I am not sure what to put down there. I have

Premarin, Nizoral, and some steroid cream. Any suggestions? I am afraid to

use anything in case it makes it worse.

I enjoyed all the things your daughter does...now I know that I'm somewhat

limited (rollerblading, rollercoasters are big no-nos), but after the pain I

was in...OH WELL!! I have learned to enjoy other things. Yes, I get angry

sometimes, but I wouldn't be doing those things I used to enjoy without

having surgery anyway. I was in too much pain.

---I told her about you and she said really? I said yes! She doesn't

have a computer so can't get all this info. I print stuff out at

work when I have time usually after work or at lunch. I am trying to

educate her even though I am still learning after all these years. I

told her that when I took her readings in the beginning they may have

been so high because she had a sinus infection. That illness can

raise the bg. Really? she said. Her favorite word anymore is

really?!!! Doctor hasn't told her enough from what I can tell. I

taught her to read labels. His word is gospel to her so I have a

tough time sometimes trying to address some issues.

It doesn't matter what you are gay lesbian black White what ever everyone still

has emotions and a heart, I have a gay friend and he is the nicest man I have

ever met, so don't start slagging people of when you don't even know what they

are like, you are sick man and you don't deserve to be on this group so I

suggest you go away i could say something else but I wouldn't want to lower

myself to you your level, take no notice of this think Shaun as long as you are

happy that's all that counts, if he carries on tell the police and keep the

emails he sends you, it makes me so mad that people can say nasty things about

I'm curious why he has suddenly gotten so mean & rude. I haven't been a member

for very long, but it did somewhat shock me when I read his first couple of

postings that were so disgusting. Do you think perhaps it's the drugs (pain

meds) that he's taking? I know it's no excuse, but I have seen my share of

" controlled substance " abusers that make people act like heathens. When they

take so many, it's no different (maybe even worse) than an abusive, mean

alcoholic.

Well said! I couldn't agree more. I've had many gay friends over the years. I

have a gay son. He is openly gay, and I knew he was before he knew he was. LOL!

He is my Army boy, and was deployed to Afghanistan a couple weeks ago. It's his

second trip over there, and I worry to death about his safety.
