Guest guest
Glad your ERCP went well. Did you say you don't have PSC? I've had symtoms of so many things and not the real thing. I know exactly where you are coming from it's sooo frustrating. But if you don't have PSC be glad because this is a disease with no cure. Hope you can find a solution. Guest guest
Lori, I don't know whether to congratulate, or send my condolences. I'm happy that it isn't PSC that you have, but I know what it's like to have Dr's tell you that they don't know what is wrong. How did you get the original diagnosis of PSC? DId you have a liver biopsy? Guest guest
Hi Lori! Oh my God what in the world are these docs trying to do to you? You sound like me -- no answers from doctors! It is maddening. I cannot give you any suggestions because I don't have any. All of the doctors, I believe, are like lawyers -- they really know how to give someone the " go around. " And who pays for all of this -- our insurance companies! It is no wonder that insurance is so very expensive! Is there anyway you can change docs? I can't because I have no insurance, but if you have insurance you can certainly do this! Please take care of yourself and try not to get down -- easier said than done -- I know. Hugs, Biddy ERCP is over, and I don't have PSC >Thank you everyone for the info about the ERCP. It went fine, and I don't >remember a thing! Guest guest
Lori - I would recommend that you think twice before having your gall bladder out. Sludge that is asymptomatic is not adequate reason for the surgery and your gallbladder should not interfere with dilation. This may be an indication that you doctor is not adequately trained in ERCP. During the process of my diagnosis I found out my gallbladder had sludge and stones. The first doctor wanted to remove my gallbladder even though it didn't cause me any problems. I declined the surgery and used acupuncture and a series of liver flushes to help clean it out and I haven't shown either one for a couple of years now. My current doctor tells me that abdominal surgery is to be avoided if possible. Another doctor told me the primary reason people have their gallbladders out is that they still have one. I don't think I would want to have mine out just to see if it was causing the problems.
