Guest guest
We are in an 11 bed hospital based skill nursing unit (HBSNF). Our meetings are: 1) Daily stand up meeting in the morning consisting of RNAC (Nurse Assessment Coordinator), OT, PT, Speech and Administrator on a PRN basis. Stand up meeting is no more than 15 minutes and emphasizes census, RUGS minutes of therapy, admissions and discharges. Finding the right time of the morning is tricky since as a hospital based facility the RNAC is often pulled away for telephone calls and doctor rounds. 2) Weekly Interdisciplinary Team Meeting with all disciplines (Administrator, Activities, Nursing - both the RNAC and the DON, Clinical Dietitian, Medical Director, Pharmacy, OT, PT, Social Service, Speech). Typically this meeting is an hour long. All residents are reviewed with the main focus of the resident status to his/her care plan. This meeting also serves as a time to review any administrative issues. It is my understanding that this type of meeting is required under the Medicare regs. 3) The Patient/Family conference is handled by the Administrator, DON, and Social Services. Hope this information is of value P.
