Diagnosing diabetes seems to be a non exact science. My fasting glucose is

usually 95. My 2 hour GTT is around 160 but at an hour and a quarter it is

240. They don't take that reading (the hour and a quarter) so I was

diagnosed as not having diabetes, just borderline. But if I eat like a

non-diabetic I have readings anywhere from 180 to 220. So I have started to

treat my self like a diabetic and I can have my readings under 140

consistently. For me testing my blood about six times a day at first really

let me know what I can and can't eat. I have to admit though when I get my

readings consistently under 120 for a couple of weeks, I say to myself, ' see

I guess I don't have diabetes, I can eat what I want.' And the cycle starts

all over again.
