Re: Amazing Charts, Office Ally and lab interfaces

I have had my own IMP since 2002, long time on the map, but unlike the

majority of you, I am a late adopter of EHR. I've finally got the two

big labs in PDX to agree to offer me lab interfaces at little/no cost.

And I'm trying to decide between Amazing Charts(AC) and Office Ally(OA).

AC is so easy to use but will only be adding PM this yr, has no Pt

Portal and will charge for its clearing house for billing. OA is a fully

integrated system. It's the EHR recommended by HITECH-LA for all the

small practices in LA area and so has a large customer base. It seems,

however, I will have to create all my own templates.

*Does anyone have experience with OA? With lab interfaces? With either

OA or AC or any other EHR?*

Thanks!

Thanks, . LA vendor list is otherwise similar to OHITECH(Or ext cntr).Which EHR do yu use? OA looks pretty clean and inclusive. I know several docs who've used their free clearing house and are very happy w it. For now the issue will be setting up templates. I considered buying an EHR back on 2002 when I was just starting out but there seemed to be too many, too expensive and I feared choosing one that would go out if business. At least there is some regulation now.Sent from my iPhone

Ellen,I am in the Los Angeles area and while I do not have any interaction with HITEC-LA, I wanted to clarify that Office Ally is only one of several "Preferred Vendors for Certified Electronic Health Records" for HITEC-LA. Office Ally was the first one that made this list, hence their press release. But here is HITEC-LA's website listing their preferred vendors:http://www.hitecla.org/vendor-selectionI believe on the listserv uses Office Ally.I have no financial interest in this or any other competing products.
