Guest guest
Hey, , I loved this! -- both the " lightness " of your image and the seriousness of what you're saying, but for now I only have enough time and energy in one post for the first of those two.... Can't think of The Proper Jungian Term just now (see subject line disclaimer) but something, any way, about the yin and the yang [*]) I took a renter into my home some years ago who undertook to teach me poker but he was an incurable puer and never stayed around long enough. One of my two (count 'em two!) Jungian Training Analysts was also an avid poker game enthusiast{:-)!]. My latest enticement to poker was much too shady a story to tell on an internet list [ha -- am I " enticing " any interst here?! :-)] but pulling all these threads together: this is the first time I've come back for several days to any of the lists I'm nominally a member of (owe you a post on one of the others too), so -- for a line (I was once a singer) I remember vividly from Menotti's 'Amahl and the Night Visitors' -- thank you, thank you T..H..A..N..K...Y...O...U...! :-) *P.S. I'll try to get my inner highly imaginative inner dreamer (to the frequent distress of my inner I-would-like-to-get-a-quiet-and- full-night's-sleep daimon) to dream up a bully (?) bunch of poker hands to send to you in virtual time/space! [:-)] Everyone Else: hello. This is marte/fricassee, " once again and some times " :-) :-(, checking in, Sunday evening here, whatever all days or times in all the " wheres " of all the rest of you! :-) [P.P.S. I might have said " animus and anima " but right now I'm in an argument with what in my own head microcosm of the macrocosm are feeling overly batted-about words on " Jung " lists....Surely most people here know Jung's so-oft quoted remark: " thank god I'm not a 'jungian'; I'm just Jung " [:-) ?!] But that's a kind of curmudgeonly remark from this once-upon-a-long-time " puella " now three-days post the Candlemas/Ground Hog Day mid winter season mark since announcing Entry Into Senex Land. Anyone want to join me here?] [Oy! - I begin to sound, I afear me, like a blogger ( " heaven forfend " ?!)] Here's to " silly " (and selig) because I'm tempted to post a family anecdote and you should all be glad I have at least enough self- discipline to do that on a Yahoo list just because I was in a good mood when reading this post. Right? :-) > ... hoping for a fair game of poker, > don't count on encountering such when > other players claim to have a wild-card > in every hand. Guest guest
--- yo, marte/fricassee (and my simplistic " " ) way of saying " hi " on this end of the weekend day ... and I'm exceptionally pleased that you appreciated teh imagery (and was somehow concerend with 'mercurial' concept a day or two ago) In the world of pro-gamblers, I'd more or lesss be like a sheep ready to be clipped, as these poker-players of today are tricky card-players. but luckily, they *do* provide a way of seeing others [sometimes] as these other peopel don't even see themselves, so any money lost there may serve in a tuition-proxy. ( Amahl sounds like a lucky guy " You're welcome " ) enticements reminiscent of a Mae West proverb. peace, tracy In JUNG-FIRE , " marte " wrote: > > Hey, , I loved this! -- both the " lightness " of your image and > the seriousness of what you're saying, but for now I only have enough > time and energy in one post for the first of those two.... > > Can't think of The Proper Jungian Term just now (see subject line > disclaimer) but something, any way, about the yin and the yang [*]) I > took a renter into my home some years ago who undertook to teach me > poker but he was an incurable puer and never stayed around long > enough.
