Guest guest
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers as well as those others who live abroad. The only answer I can personally give you is that it happens because of who we are. We were built on freedom and have felt that our ideology should be accepted world wide. When one group or groups physically or emotionally terrorize another group or groups, we feel compelled to step in. It is not only to protect those who cannot protect themselves but to prevent the attacker from becoming a greater power. For that we are seen as bullies, not as compassionate human beings. We (a majority of the country at least) believe that people should have the right to worship any god or being they want and should not be discriminated against regardless of ethnicity. Unfortunately there are still those who don't see it this way. Whether our interjection into these political or religious plights is right or wrong is debatable. The landscape has changed. Sorry for the rant - just the world as I see it through my eyes.
